Team Estrella Galicia 0.0 Marc VDS riders Jack Miller and Tito Rabat head to Motorland Aragon this weekend for the round 14 of the 2017 MotoGP World Championship, the final European round ahead of the three overseas races in Japan, Australia and Malaysia.
After a difficult start to the second half of the season Miller bounced back last time out, taking a hard-fought sixth place in a wet Misano race to equal his best result of the season.
The Australian wet weather might prove useful again this weekend, with the current weather forecast predicting the possibility of thunderstorms disrupting at least the opening day of practice on Friday.
After a positive start, Rabat's Misano weekend ended in disappointment, with the former Moto2 World Champion sliding out of the race on lap 20 after struggling with a lack of rear grip in the wet conditions.
Rabat heads to Aragon this weekend to make amends for missing out on points in Misano, at a track where he finished on the podium three times in five appearances in the Moto 2 class, including a race win in 2015.
Aragon first hosted the MotoGP round in 2010 and is one of only five circuits on the calendar that runs in an anti-clockwise direction, the other being Austin, Sachsenring, Phillip Island and Valencia.
Jack Miller:
"Aragon is a track I like, but not necessarily one where I've had the best results in the past, although I missed this race through injury last year, I think it's a track that should fit our Honda RC213V and I'm looking and I'm ready to push for some good results in the last quarter of the season, starting with this last race in Japan, Malaysia and my home Grand Prix in Australia. weekend in Aragon. "
Tito Rabat:
"I head to Aragon is motivated to put in a good performance in front of my home crowd. I like the track a lot and I think with the improvements we've made recently with the set up we will start free practice with a good base. We made a big step in Silverstone, confirmed the changes in Misano and now we have to make the next step this weekend in Aragon. Of course, this is very much dependent on the weather, which looks to be bit unpredictable over the race weekend , but we will see
